ITINERARY

 

0500 Assembly at BSC bus station at EDSA Taft (back of McDonalds, below MRT northbound)
0530 Board Nasugbu-bound bus
0800 ETA Evercrest, breakfast at the carinderia, commence trek via old trail
1130 ETA summit, rest, snack, photo opp, collect trash
1230 Star descent via new trail
1530 ETA where many sari-sari stores are located, light snack, tidy up
1600 Take jeep to Tagaytay
1630 Post-climb in Tagaytay, plus gimik
1900 ETD for Manila
2100 ETA Manila

WHAT TO BRING

1. Day pack - fully water-proofed with day hike essentials
2. 3 liters of water (can bring less because stores abound)
3. Packed meals
    a. Breakfast
    b. Lunch
    c. Snack for Batulao summit - something that can be quickly cooked or heated
4. Headlamp with extra batteries
5. Umbrella/raincoat
6. Arm sleeves, hat, wind-breaker/jacket
7. Trowel
8. Cup for coffee or soup
9. Groundsheet (2) + strings
10. Trash bag (plain, generic without printed brand)
11. First aid kit and personal medicine

NOTES

 

Mt. Batulao is a naked mountain, without trees and mainly covered with cogon via the new trail. Be prepared by bringing something to protect yourself from the sun. Bringing extra water is encouraged.
